Elisa is a follower of Jesus Christ who endeavors to intentionally live out her faith. Writing is a way to share her faith while encouraging, mentoring and hopefully entertaining her reader.
She and her husband enjoy exploring and have adventured as far as Africa to serve with a mission organization working with AIDS orphans. They were also privileged to care for Syrian refugees at a clinic in Israel. Stateside they have been blessed to serve others by responding to disasters with the organization, 8 Days of Hope.
They currently live in Kansas with a Labrador and a Doodle, surrounded by sunflowers and good neighbors.
Elisa enjoys cooking, flower gardening, quilting, entertaining, discovering local history treasures, music and laughter. She has written stories and journals throughout her life. In 2010, her first book, Secrets Under the Midnight Sun released in the young adult (YA) genre, under the pen name, Elisa Maria Crites, which won the Grace award in that category.
